MEET LINDSAY
i’m lindsay, the owner, wedding photographer, and designer of ivory+bliss. i love being able to share in the love of two individuals and feel blessed to get to work with such wonderful people each day!
based out of cedar rapids, ia, i’ve been shooting weddings for over twelve years now. it is crazy to think of where we started and how far we’ve grown!
everything i do comes down to one simple goal-to make the lives of my clients easier. if that means coming up with achievable decor and floral ideas, creating your invitations, bustling your dress on your wedding day, or coordinating timelines, i am here to help you make the wedding of your dreams become a reality!
when i'm not photographing weddings, you can find me either cuddled in bed with my hubby nate, and our two boys mason + theo, or probably at target! i love to travel,
instagram my face off, and couldn’t live without a dirty iced chai with cold foam, sushi, or my teeny bopper tv shows! my all time celebrity crush is jason bateman (who i just recently freaking MET during a Q+A during their smartless podcast tour!) and i don’t care who knows it, and i am

whether it’s the local coffee shop or a local park where you first met your soon-to-be spouse, let us know if there is a place that is sentimental to you!
we typically like to do your engagement session 9-12 months before your wedding date so that you can get your save the dates out in time. we typically photograph
engagement sessions monday - thursday, around 1.5 hours before sunset!
wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident! patterns, bold colors, and accessories photograph really well. feel free to get creative with your wardrobe! we highly recommend rocking just one outfit so you can spend your time having fun, and not changing a lot.

a 50% retainer and signed contract is required in order to get your wedding day on the calendar and officially book with us. a month prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due.
everything you see on our website + instagram is a complete mix of all of our shooters on our team. everyone goes through a year long training before they officially join our team, and our handpicked by lindsay for their already amazing eye. we are lucky that everyone shares the same style, but also has unique traits that make that are special to them. we are proud to be able to give you an amazing experience, from everyone on our team!
almost all 50+ weddings that we shoot a year, we do solo. we have back up equipment for everything, and lots of experience making us more than capable of getting all of the great shots you could possibly need. if you are someone who likes the peace of mind as a second shooter as insurance, you are more than welcome to contract one in for an additional cost if one is available.

+ HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECIEVE?
for an 8-10 hour wedding, we typically deliver at least around 1000 images or more, and for engagements, typically around 150 images or more. all images we deliver are edited and in high resolution.
+ WHAT IS THE FREE STATIONERY DESIGN YOU OFFER?
as a thank you for booking your photography with us, we offer free stationery design through our sister business, the pretty golden! that means anything you need help with, such as save the dates, invites, place cards for your reception, etc, we design, free of charge. you just have to pay for printing through us! common sizes, things we design, and pricing can be found in our pricing guide.
If you are looking for a graphic designer for your wedding stationery we got you covered there! otherwise, we would love to send you to our favorite florist, coordinator, dj, decor place, and caterer! we have worked with some of the best companies in the industry and would love to share their information with you! we have a list of preferred vendors in our pricing guide we can send to you after you inquire.

CEREMONY TIPS
everyone loves an outdoor ceremony, and we sure do too! from the
beautiful natural lighting, a scenic backdrop, a relaxed more intimate vibe, theres lots of reasons why couples choose this over getting
married inside a church.
but the one most common mistake that couples make, that result in not so great photos, is the time of day and placement of the ceremony in
comparison to the sun. having your ceremony too early can result in sun shining directly in your face while saying your i do’s or blinding your guests as well. this results in sun spots in your photos, and squinting faces.
placing your ceremony in shade, or even lighting is the best way to ensure that your photos will be free of sun spots, squinty faces, or bad lighting. choose a spot that has gorgeous backdrops, and the sun is shining from behind the alter. this will back light the couple and all of your important photos such as the kiss will be gorgeous!
